For developers and media teams

BleepEdit API overview

For teams that want profanity review and clean exports inside their own pipeline. Access is arranged individually—this page explains what to expect and how to ask.

Conceptual workflow

Programmatic projects follow the same review-first idea as the editor. The outline below is a conceptual description, not a published specification.

  1. 1

    Submit media

Send a video or audio file from your own storage or pipeline.

  2. 2

    Receive a timed transcript

Get the transcript with likely profanity marked, ready for your own review step.

  3. 3

    Confirm selections

Keep, remove or add words, and choose the effect for each moment.

  4. 4

    Retrieve the clean file

Collect the processed media and, where relevant, cleaned subtitles.

What to include in your request

  • What kind of media you process (podcasts, gaming clips, classroom material, songs)
  • Approximate monthly minutes and typical file length
  • Whether people review selections before export, or how you plan to
  • Formats you need back (video, audio, SRT)

Good to know

Automatic detection still benefits from human review. Plan a review step in your workflow, and check the finished output before publishing—exactly as you would in the editor.
